My Daddy Hyman Hardeman (Brocy) Sirmans visited the Victory Soda shop most mornings in the 40’s 50’s and early 60’s. I have a Jacki Gleason doll and a braclet that He won on punch boards at the Victory Soda shop for me….I have great memories of Billy burgers and fountain cokes
Thanks for sharing the history of this place…would love to see some old photographs from the Victory Soda Shop!

Thanks for sharing this information!
My dad, Billy Clements, had his general store the “Victory Soda Shop” in this building for about 30 years until he retired in 1970. Underneath the plastic siding you will find a large stone masonic plaque installed by the builders of the building. I might have a photo of the plaque in my album.
About 1/3 of the original building (right side) was distroyed during a fire at the Jefferson Grocery store about 40 years ago.
Thanks for sharing this history with me Chris. It’s always important to hear about these places from the people who know most about them.
