Do you know of any late 40′s or 50′s Railway Express Step Vans available for sale like the one in this picture ? I’m looking for one either restored or unrestored. Any help would be appreciated. I’m in Florida.
I have just such a truck for sale. I have it listed at antiquecar.com.
My hobby is a 1929 model “A”
My father & grandfather both worked for REA and I have made signs for my truck. I have REA. I didn’t know there was an AIR EXPRESS. I had found 2 REA freight wagons, but the owners did not want to part with them.
I’m not what RSS 2.0 is. do you have additional photos to view???
Thank you,
Chris
At this time these are the only ones I have, Chris. Good luck, though…
I just bought a 1940 Ford delivery van. I noticed the diamond shaped faded areas on the outside where placards had once been. While cleaning it out (we got it from a salvage yard in Baxter # on the upper front and back are “24241″. I have a couple pictures of it on my facebook page….Bonny Bell. We are currently tearing it apart to restore the body and put it on a newer chassis with newer engine, tranny, etc.
