This was my Grandfathers’ store (Walter Morrison) that he operated for 70 years. It closed in 1988. What great memories I have of it being open on Saturady mornings.
I have been searching the ancestry of the Morrison Family. My grandmother (my mother’s, mother) is Miriam (Morrison) She was born around 1933 and died in 1998. My mother doesn’t know much about the family. I found a newspaper clipping that she had about the Morrison General Store and Walter Morrison. I do not know anything about that side of the family and I can’t find anything because I don’t know names. I’m not sure if Walter was her grandfather, father, or uncle. I only know that he is family. If you can give me any info that would be great! Thanks!
Many of my ancestors migrated to this cty. from S.C. & Md.–purchased land, active in politics, etc.–great job on all the pictures of Ga.!!!
Many thanks for hours of enjoment

Great scene and capture. Is the banning of the pastor a good thing? What did he do?

Thanks, Amy! I’m not sure…I haven’t heard about that. Will have to check it out.
