George Foy was my G.G.Grandfather. See the comments under
Rebecca Foy.
He was a plantation owner, farmer, had a grits mill & saw mill.
He gave the land just up the road from the old home place for
the Foy Cemetery.

There’s another Egypt, Ga. about 2 miles from Doles, Ga. The forgotten cemetery is still there and it’s not listed at the court house. There was a grocery. school and church. would like to know more about this cemetery. My mother has distant relatives buried here. I’ve been here once. It has been forgotten. There used to be a community named Egypt. Could someone help me with more information about this forgotten town. It is located about 2 miles from Doles, Ga.
