Headstone Art, Mt. Enon Cemetery
The hand-pointing-toward-Heaven was among the most common themes of Victorian gravestone art. This one adorns the grave of Private Willis Simeon Bowles, Company D, 32nd Georgia Infantry (1829 -1892).
