Reynolds was settled in 1853, but there is some confusion about its namesake. Various sources list Georgia Governor John Reynolds, L. C. Reynolds, and the railroad superintendent at the time of the town’s founding as possibilities. Today, Reynolds, which hosts the Georgia Strawberry Festival the 4th weekend in April each year, is a nice diversion from the Fall Line Freeway.
