Mount Isaac Cemetery, Arp

The cemetery at Mount Isaac is in bad condition, but some gravesites are maintained. The headstones shown in the first two images are from the older part of the cemetery, typical of early-20th-century African-American style, while the remaining headstones are painted white, to improve their appearance and protect against the elements. Like the church, Mount Isaac Cemetery is associated with Arp, but actually sits just to the north, in Ben Hill County.

all the graves in the old grave yard needs to be fixed and someone needs to keep them up .I heard the county or the state had grants to keep them up I guess the promblem is getting someone to apply for the grant and keep them up.Our history is leaving us right before our eyes
