This house reminds me of what I think the house was like in Caroline Miller’s book, “Lamb in His Bosom.” If you have never read this book (YOU probably have read it), it is a remarkable story of a young woman living on the Georgia frontier at the time when south Georgia settlement only extended about 50 miles from the coast. It is largely forgotten, but won the Pulitzer Prize a couple of years before “Gone With the Wind.”

Fred-I’m familiar with the book and think it’s a shame it’s not better known. At any rate, this certainly puts one in the mind of the architecture of that era. Good hearing from you.
