While an unfortunate interpretation has suggested that this photograph is in bad taste, I disagree. Not only would I live here, I hope myself to one day find a house like this to live in. It represents the best in South Georgia. It’s not only a landmark of an old house but it’s also an example of preservation, in the truest sense. I’ve photographed so many houses like this that have fallen to nothing, but the human presence is saving this one, as it could so many. When one implies that this is a bad portrayal of the South I would argue that point all day. God Bless South Georgia and those who keep it alive!
