Andersonville is a solemn and moving place. It’s a great place for a day trip.

Hi Brian, We made a short trip to Andersonville a couple of years ago. This is without a doubt one of the most amazing places I have ever been. It should be a required visit for any Civil War Buff. The cemeteries are unbelievable in there scope of huge proportions and the spiritual intensity of their presence. Also, the recreated prison site is truly amazing. Great work. THANKS. Wendell Theus

Brian, You need to see the Andersonville cemetery on Memorial Day. There’s a small flag by each white grave marker. Veeeeery patriotic & beautiful.
