Folk Victorian Farmhouse, Bulloch County

Folk Victorian Farmhouse Bulloch County GA Overgrown Forgotten Photograph Copyright Brian Brown Vanishing South Georgia USA 2014“Overgrown” wound up being the overriding theme of my Sunday photo ramble. Often, I spot houses in the summer which are impossible to photograph, due to the advance of weeds, privet, and other invasive plants. I often return in winter hoping for better views, but the persistence of vegetation in the South can be a difficult barrier to a good shot.

This house was obviously inhabited until recently, judging by the satellite dish.

  1. My small company salvages old houses in Texas, and we often see houses like this that are consumed by the forests around here. Love the architecture of this old beauty.

P.S. Found your blog because one of my blog followers recommended it. We occasionally share photos of old abandoned houses, too.

  2. I’m from Bulloch county. It’s a really big county. I wish I knew where this picture was taken. On what road or location.

  3. The satellite dish implies that there is electricity and water, I guess. Also, that the chimney still works. Must have been a nice house, at one time!
