Kirkland’s Seafood, Glennville

Most small towns once had their own seafood markets and fishmongers, but this is increasingly rare today. The colorful murals were what first caught my eye.

As the sign suggests, they serve what they sell, so I hope to check them out.

This business belongs to Steven Kirkland and myself. We opened back in 2006 and have been very blessed because of the Lord and all of our customers from Glennville and surrounding cities. We appreciate everyone’s support and business! Thank you, Brian for the wonderful article!

    • Thank you for running an independent local business and helping keep small towns alive. I sorely miss the seafood market in my hometown of Fitzgerald. It was Benton’s Seafood and there for many years. Douglas still has one but it was a great loss to Fitzgerald when they closed. I also think it’s wonderful that you sell as much Real Georgia Shrimp and local seafood as possible. (I love your murals, especially the shark at the front door. Wish I’d had more time to photograph that day, but I plan on checking your food out the next time I eat in Glenville!)

  2. Kirkland’s is good eating.
