This vernacular house, which I suspect may have been older than its appearance here would suggest, was torn down some time in 2012. I say it may have been older due to the presence of the asbestos siding. Susan McDaniel notes that it was the home of a Mrs. Kirkland who taught school in Alma, and was well-maintained while she lived here.
