  1. The Union Pharmacy was owned by my Grandfather Oliver Francis Deen and later by my uncle Thomas S. Deen. I have a lot of memories of going there with my father Oliver (Buddy) Deen and my uncle. I’m now a maritime attorney in Houston. I like Texas, but miss Gogia and Florida.

      My mother, Winnie Sapp, worked at Union Pharmacy for Mr. Deen in the early 1950’s, leaving because she married my father and moved away to begin life as a railroad wife. My mother is still living and is 95. She talks to this day about the good times working at Union Pharmacy and what a fine man Thomas Deen was.
