Alapaha River at Bannockburn

The river here is the boundary between Atkinson and Berrien Counties.

    I have canoed that stretch of the Alapaha a number of times. On one occasion, the river was running very high–we were in the branches with the moss and chiggers—plus a cottonmouth or two.
