As much as I know from my grandmother and others, it was owned by a man named Paul Davis. I went to this store as a child when it still had a gas pump and post office; and later it was reopened but finally closed.
This abandoned store was the general store and post office in Elko for many, many years. It was served as the post office until the early 1990’s when the new post office was built across Elko Road.
