Finding this house reminded me of all the old houses of my childhood, where there was often an ornamental palm tree and almost always a lantana or two in the front yard. Thanks to Gary Shell for the identification.

My grandfather was Horace’s brother. They were from Pitts and my Dad was born in Pitts. Very cool to see this house!

looks like i should be sitting in swing with a funeral home fan in by hand, stirring what little air i can, and keeping the nats at bay. love it!

The houses of our childhoods all had big front porches with rocking chairs where we could sit and safely enjoy a thunderstorm.
