I understand that this church has been razed. (I will update if this information in incorrect). A newer facility across the road serves the congregation now.

    My Grandmother Flois Noni Chance Smith was a lifelong member. She passed away in 2002 at age 94. At that time she was the oldest living member of Mt. Zion. It was there in the cemetery at Mt. Zion my then 18 year old daughter said she made her first emotional connections with history. She saw headstones of relatives who had lived in 1811.

  3. Sadly, they’re planning to tear it down in 2 or 3 weeks. 😦
