Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Long County

Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist Church was founded in 1883, though this isn’t the original structure.

There are quite a few area pioneers buried in the old cemetery.

C. Columbus (28 December 1849 – 24 December 1929) &  Mary Elizbeth Golden Howard (28 March 1859 – 13 February 1918)

Columbus Howard donated the land upon which the church and cemetery are located.

    My husband’s great grandparents. Grandpa Columbus gave the land to build Pigot Branch Church and one day we shall be buried there also…
