UGA Football Barn Sign, Peacocks Crossing

This old store at Peacock’s Crossing features regularly updated murals about the Georgia Bulldogs. Some are good and some are bad, depending on your perspective. [This one complains about the effectiveness of the University of Georgia’s head football coach Mark Richt. The artists obviously love the Bulldogs and think they could do better. No matter your loyalties, I think they make a valid point]. I photographed this one in 2010.

Check out the sign’s Facebook page.

Is this the one on 15? Because if it is, it is not only still standing in 2017, it is in a lot better shape than these pics show.

I hope “barn” is still standing; it brings back so many warm memories. When my family allowed me to take a car to UGA, I’d pass this place on my way to and from Athens. The messages were always supportive and spot on, just like the one above. I was searching for “UGA football art” which lead me to the picture and this site. You’ve got a great eye sir and I must agree with the gents who painted this message. I really hope Richt figures it out quickly.
