Brian, are you sure this is a corn crib? My granddaddy always had his corn crib (in Ben Hill and Irwin County) elevated above a hog pen in order to reduce mice/rats eating the corn.
It may just be a tool shed, Barbara. Daddy grew up out in this area and wasn’t sure about it either. He said it didn’t quite fit the bill for a corn crib but we couldn’t decide. Thanks for reminding me. It’s really difficult to pick these out sometimes.
