The bank was the Leslie branch of Sumter Bank and Trust, and closed in the late 90s (the other branch is still in Americus). My mom worked there for almost 20 years. The middle store was a drug store when I was a child, then an antique store, while the building at the end was the post office, which was the last to close it’s doors just a few years ago.
I was born and raised in Leslie, thanks for visiting and bringing attention to our little town!
