I photographed this farmhouse five years ago and that same ladder was propped against the window then.

We were delighted to see those Marion County, GA sites. We lived and worked there for a number of years. One of my husband’s relatives lived beside the old Masonic lodge known as Mr. Barney’s store in Tazewell; another lived on the other side in an old house (since renovated) that was a tavern years ago. We still have friends in Buena Vista. We may have to go back to renew friendship and memories.
Somewhere we have a copy of “Rural America” from National Geographic. It is not a new book, but it too celebrates traditional sites including Buena Vista.
Keep up the good work.
