The first occupants of this house as I remember from the mid to late 1940’s was the Mr. Jim Smith family consisting of Mr. Jim, his wife Ida Pearl, his blind daughter “Boobie”, and his son Billy Smith. It was probably owned by Mr. Goston McCrary who lived to the right as he also owned two additional houses to the right. Our family lived for a while in the last one closest to town that Mama bought from Mr. McCrary.
