Another Long County Landmark Faces Demolition

The present owners of this house, known as the Vickers-Howard House, are seeking someone who can move it or salvage the timber; otherwise it faces imminent demolition. It is my understanding that the owners prefer to see it moved but they can’t wait long. Considering the recent loss of the antebellum Hendley Foxworth Horne House, and the looming loss of the Johnston House, it would be wonderful if someone could purchase and save this one.

If you or someone you know is serious about purchasing and moving this house, you can contact the owner here. Please do not contact them if you are not serious. [As a matter of disclosure I am not an agent of nor do I represent the owners of this property. The link is shared from social media].
