Loving your pictures…..
Have you thought of Danville Ga or Montrose Ga off HWY 80 in Twiggs and Lauren counties? I see you have the Melton Store in Allentown.
I love the old places.

Thanks, Cindy. I have photographed those places and like them both:

Those are great pictures! Must take a look near the tracks in the town of Danville. I’ll send some to you for review.
Yes…. I see the pictures from Danville. Thank you for posting those. I used to live in Danville from 1973-79. Will be returning to family house and land next year.
Hi, Brian. I’m in the process of digitizing my old slides from the 70’s and 80’s, and came across a shot of an old barn you might be interested in (I haven’t seen it in *Vanishing South Georgia*). The scanned image is too large to send through Google, so I want to load it into Lightroom and send it from there (Lightroom will downsize it for me). If you’ll send me an e-mail address, I’ll get that sent to you.
Thanks.

I don’t know where else to post this so I’ll just put it here … Congrats to Brian Brown … http://bittersoutherner.com/rural-ruins-vanishing-south-georgia … Please keep up the great work!
Thanks, Raleighwood Dawg. It was honor to be featured there.
When you next pass through Baxley again, you must go to the Moody Forest. It’s near the river off Hwy. 1 near the river. The Nature Conservancy bought it a few years ago but aren’t paying attention to the old structures there. The old Moody house burned but stop by the Youmans gas station on Hwy. 341 and ask to see the photo of the house that’s hanging inside.
Glad you’re documenting south GA.
