Central Hallway Farmhouse, Irwin County

I’ve always admired this well-maintained house but have never known its history. I would guess it dates to the 1870s or 1880s.

Have you taken a picture of the Whitley House in the Mystic area? On a dirt road. I think the family of T.Y. Whitley might own it. My step grandmother died around end of 1970. She was 90. That was her home before she married Willis Vickers of Bridgetown/Ambrose area of Coffee County.
I am a Vickers from that area. They lived on the Baker Hwy. I am 6th generation, but would love to know where those other generations lived. There is a Vickers cemetery where Wiley Vickers, the first one in the area, is buried on this Baker Hwy. Can’t remember the hwy number. His father’s house is still standing and Chuck Sims lives in it. But it is those other houses I wish I knew their locations.
    Continue your work. Much appreciated.
