The school was not Lenox Elementary. The name of the school was North Cook Elementary. The gym wasn’t green at the time the school was in use. After the consolidation, the gym was used by the community. It was at this time it was painted.

When I attended in the early 1980s it was North Cook, but I seem to remember that it may have changed to Lenox Elementary in its waning days. Anyone else know?
